OTC 2019 slated for May – Ghana to represent


Upstream oil gas and other support services companies in Ghana will be among the global oil giants attending this year’s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC-2019) slated for May 6 to 9.

The conference is expected to gives you access to leading edge technical information at the industry’s largest equipment exhibition, and valuable new professional contacts.

Arguably OTC is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.

 This year, OTC would be celebrating 50-years since 1969, OTC’s flagship conference is held annually at NRG Park (formerly Reliant Park) in Houston. OTC has expanded technically and globally with the Arctic Technology Conference, OTC Brasil, and OTC Asia.

 Ghana’s delegation to the conference will be led by the Minister of Energy, Mr John-Peter Amewu, primarily with the grand objective of promoting and seeking investment in Ghana’s petroleum sector.

OTC is sponsored by 13 industry organizations and societies, who work cooperatively to develop the technical program. OTC also has endorsing and supporting organizations.

 The participants will enjoy more than 350 peer-selected technical presentations, leveraging 13 societies’ collective knowledge and covering topics from the wellbore to topsides and everything in between. 

 The conference will provide more than 500,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space with groundbreaking innovations and more than 2,000 leading providers of products and services in one place, at one time.

 There would be networking session where more than 60,000 energy professionals from more than 100 countries are there would be present.

 The conference promise something new by connecting with global C-suite leaders and more than 100 speakers to discover what innovations expected over the next 50 years.

 On investing back in the industry: OTC’s sponsoring organizations use revenue to provide many other important programs for its members, such as training and technical journals.

In the World’s Energy Capital there will be a combine OTC with client meetings, business proposals, and company training. 

 For the aviation and hospitality industry, there would be 174 nonstop flights, world-class venues and hotels, and nearby public transportation.
